about

The origin of AOsmosis. A time capsule of sorts – opened a decade after its recording.

ALBUM PLAYLIST (53:11)

1.) Weltraumbruder – The Ghost of Ehrenbreitstein Field Rec. (10:40)
2.) David Vélez – Sin título (10:40)
3.) Jos Smolders – Die Tugend der Geduld (10:41) [BONUS!]
4.) Lasse-Marc Riek – Ehrebreiter (10:40)
5.) Machinefabriek – Palissade (10:30)

On May 21st, 2006 I performed an open-air live set at the German city of Koblenz – district Ehrenbreitstein – at square Maehlerplatz.

All 5 (re)works of this album are solely based on a specific collection of 10⅔ min of field recordings that were captured in 2006 for the use in the live set (and in addition offered to the audience as a CD-R edition).

The only restrictions for the 5 artists who reworked this material were:
— no additional sound sources
— not longer than the original field recordings in total (10:40). A length that despite any prior arrangement was basically maxed out by everyone.
